SIMULATORS

Welcome to CiscoGuides.com Simulator section, simulator is kind of software in which you can virtually build your own scenario using router, switches etc. There is no need to work on physical machines although the best practice is to work on real environment but Simulators works great mostly. Let me elaborate the features of some of widely used simulator:

Boson – Is one of pioneer simulator that carries you from CCENT or CCNA through your CCNP certification, it’s easy to use at beginning of my Cisco Path I used it several times and found really well.

Packet Tracer– Packet Tracer provides simulation, visualization, authoring, assessment, and collaboration capabilities actually it’s Cisco proprietary simulation software and free available on their site.

GNSGNS3 is a graphical network simulator that allows simulation of complex networks. The most powerful simulation on earth the only thing missing is Chassis of routers and switches I mean imagine for second that original IOS is running on your system via GNS3 isn’t it great? This is perfect solution for advance level certification.
